A trip by bus exploring local ancient history, going around the Fucino basin, once a large lake, (today one of Italy’s most important agricultural areas) at the Park’s northern entrance.
The trip includes visits to the ruins of the ancient Roman city of Alba Fucens, the hills of S. Nicola (ancient castle), San Pietro Vincenzo (XII century church with an ancient temple dedicated to Apollo, III century B.C.).
A short stop in Incile (large water storage ) where 3 tunnels are present, built by the emperor Nero.
The trip ends at the Park’s visitors centre dedicated to the bear in Villavallelonga.
- Location: Alba Fucens – Cunicoli di Nerone – Villavallelonga
- Departure: 8:00 by bus
- Return: 17:00
