Pizzone
The name "Pizzone" comes from the shape of the mountain (Monte Mattone) at whose foot the ancient village is situated. In the registries of the Anjou government for the year 1320 the village was called "Piczotum", and was founded in the framework of the colonization carried out by the Abbey of San Vincenzo al Volturno.
