The village is situated on the edge of a great and picturesque karst sinkhole, which is locally known as "Fossa" or "Tomolo" and which has progressively taken a semicircular shape, almost as if it wanted to refer to the initial of the village, a C.

Interesting facts and places
Vallone Lacerno is a spectacular place. It is a deep valley cut by water into the rocks, where archaeological remains of the Roman period are to be found, such as bridge ruins and an aqueduct. Remains of cenobia, hermitages and votive niches are there, too.
Nature around the village is wonderful and intact.
Celebrations
San Pancrazio, Patron Saint festival (May, 11th-12th); Madonna Addolorata (first Saturday of September), followed by night procession (first Sunday of September), San Gaspare del Bufalo.
"Estate Campolese" and truffle festival.
