Man has always looked with fascination at phenomena taking place in nature and in the universe, and has invented tales and myths to explain what appeared to be unexplainable. Greek mythology tells the story of the nymph Callisto and of the constellations of Great Bear and Little Bear. This myth combines the two main ingredients of our initiative: bears and astronomy. Two fascinating and mysterious elements, which we are going to explore during this weekend, together with astronomer Paolo Ruscitti.
An overnight stay at Cicerana mountain hut will enrich the experience, as it is located in a valley far from any light pollution, and an ideal point of departure for animal observation.
